Six trunnion-table machining centers run in 3+2 indexed positional mode — the rotary axes position the part, lock, and the cutting motion stays 3-axis. Five faces, one fixturing, one datum.五个面,一次装夹,同一基准
Aerospace structural brackets, optical housings, and instrument bodies have features on five faces. On a 3-axis platform, each face requires a re-fixture — and every re-fixture introduces datum drift. What 4.5-axis (3+2) gives up versus full simultaneous 5-axis is contour following on organic surfaces — impeller blades, blended airfoils, complex freeform geometry. For the parts a contract manufacturer sees most often — prismatic housings, brackets, valve bodies, fittings — 3+2 delivers the coverage benefit at a substantially lower programming and tooling cost. When organic 5-axis surfaces come up, we say so and route the work to a partner shop.

Parts that previously required three to five fixturings now run in one. We typically see 30–50% cycle time reduction on parts moved from 3-axis to 4.5-axis indexed, and equally important, the scrap rate at the FAI stage drops because every face references one datum.

Eight Swiss-type CNC lathes for small-diameter, high-precision turned parts. Bar-fed through a guide bushing positioned millimetres from the cutting tool — the cut zone has no overhang, and parts hold tight tolerance even at 30:1 length-to-diameter ratios. 八台走心式 CNC 车床,用于小直径高精度车削件。棒料经导套送料至距刀尖仅数毫米处——切削区无悬伸,即使在 30:1 长径比下仍能保持高公差。
Why Swiss-type holds tolerance where other lathes don't.瑞士型车床在其他车床达不到的地方守得住公差
On a conventional lathe, the bar stock projects from the chuck like a cantilever — the further from the chuck the tool cuts, the more deflection. On Swiss-type, the bar slides through a guide bushing and the tool always cuts within a few millimetres of that bushing. Sophisticated fixture design.精密夹具设计
A well-designed fixture is where part cost actually comes out of high-volume programs. We design fixtures in-house, machine them in the same complex, and qualify them through FAI before any production lot runs. A dedicated fixture engineer sits with the machinists — iteration is measured in days, not weeks.

Generic vises and parallels work for prototypes; for production they are slow, inconsistent, and demand operator skill that doesn't scale. Custom fixtures — soft jaws contoured to the part, hydraulic clamping on production lines, modular bases that swap in seconds — turn a three-minute setup into thirty seconds and let a junior machinist load the same part as accurately as a senior.
Every program with a forecast volume above pilot scale gets a fixture review. Heat-treated and certified material stock kept in inventory for the most-used grades. Mill certs, heat numbers, and lot traceability documented per shipment per program requirement. Custom grades sourced from qualified mills on program request. 常用规格的热处理与认证材料常备库存。按项目要求每批出货均记录厂商证书、炉号与批次追溯。特殊规格根据项目需求从合格供应商采购。
General-purpose aerospace and structural aluminium. Excellent machinability, weldability, and corrosion resistance.
High-strength aerospace aluminium. Used where part stiffness and fatigue resistance matter — brackets, mounts, gimbals.
Aerospace skin alloy with high fatigue resistance. Less corrosion-resistant — typically clad or anodized.
Marine-grade aluminium. Good formability, excellent corrosion resistance. Used on housings exposed to wet environments.
Precipitation-hardening stainless. Heat-treatable to high strength while maintaining corrosion resistance. Aerospace and tooling staple.
Low-carbon austenitic stainless. Standard for medical, food, and chemical applications. Good weldability and corrosion resistance.
General machining stainless (303) and standard food-grade (304). Free-machining grade is the workshop's go-to for fasteners and pivots.
Workhorse aerospace titanium. Strength-to-weight ratio of steel at half the density; calls for specialised tooling and feeds.
Commercially pure titanium. Used where biocompatibility or chemical inertness matters more than strength.
Chrome-moly alloy steel. Used for shafts, axles, and high-load fittings. Through-hardenable for tooling applications.
Nickel-chromium superalloy. High-temperature aerospace and turbine work. We machine on dedicated 4.5-axis bays with rigid production fixtures.
High-performance thermoplastic. Self-lubricating, high temperature, chemical-resistant. Used in optical and medical assemblies.
Acetal homopolymer. Excellent dimensional stability, low friction, good machinability. Common for gears, bushings, low-load mechanical parts.
Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. Wear surfaces, sliding components, low-friction guides.
PTFE for seals and chemically inert components; Torlon for high-temperature, high-strength engineering applications.
Cured carbon-fiber-reinforced epoxy plate. PCD-tooled CNC trim and feature machining for limbs, drone arms, optical shrouds.
Glass-fiber-reinforced epoxy laminate. Excellent dimensional stability and electrical insulation. Machined for jigs, fixtures, archery limbs, electronic housings.
Solid bar, plate, or block from mill stock. Default starting form — most prototype and low-to-mid volume work begins here.
Near-net shape with directional grain flow. Higher fatigue strength for aerospace fittings, gimbal yokes, and structural brackets.
High-volume non-ferrous near-net parts. We finish-machine critical features, ports, threaded bores from as-cast blanks.
Constant cross-section profiles cut to length. Common on heat sinks, structural rails, and Picatinny-style platforms.
Complex shapes and larger parts. Investment for tighter as-cast tolerance, sand for cost on bigger geometry — both finish-machined.
Laser-cut blanks from sheet or plate stock, then formed and machined. Common for thin-wall housings and brackets.
Other grades — magnesium AZ31, brass C360, nickel alloys, additional engineering plastics — quoted on program request. Material certs and lot traceability supplied with every shipment as standard.

Inspection. All production lots inspected per AQL 0.65 sampling plan. Critical-to-function dimensions on demanding programs go through 100% CMM. First-article inspection (FAI) per AS9102 Rev C available on request.

A full quote turn-around runs three to five business days — faster on simpler parts. The DFM review comes back with notes, not a final number, so you can adjust before committing.
For NDA-required programs we sign before any technical review. Drawings and technical data are routed to engineers under standard confidentiality controls; archived per program.
