The largest single category we run in this industry mix is carbon fiber drone airframes — for industrial UAV, survey, inspection, racing, and photography platforms. Surrounding that core, we run civil aerospace work (cabin trim, tooling, GSE, hobby and experimental aircraft) and aftermarket automotive composites (body kits, splitters, interior trim, performance parts). All of it sits in lanes where engineering precision and material traceability matter — and where AS9100, ITAR, FMVSS, and DOT certification do not.

Drones are the lead. Our composites workshops are set up around the kind of work drone OEMs need most — wrap-mandrel carbon arms, autoclave- cured monolithic body skins, compression-molded propellers and frame plates, hardpoint inserts bonded post-cure for clean motor mounts and payload attachments. Aerospace work in this category is intentionally narrow. We make aerospace-grade tooling (mandrels, layup tools, assembly fixtures, GSE), cabin interior decorative components, and parts for hobby and experimental aircraft programs — work that demands precision machining and traceable composites but does not require AS9100, NADCAP, or AS9102 FAI as standard. We deliberately operate clear of the heaviest certification regimes — AS9100 flight-cert, ITAR, NADCAP-required special processes, FMVSS, DOT. What we do hold and operate consistently is below. Customers who want FAI, salt-spray validation, or first-article documentation get it; customers who don't need that overhead get faster cycle times and lower paperwork cost.

Engagement is straightforward. Send a 3D file, a layup schedule or load case, the volume forecast, and a description of the cosmetic and finish intent. Composite-heavy programs benefit from a layup review before tooling concept lock — gate placement on compression-molded parts, mandrel design for tubular arms, hardpoint integration on autoclave parts. Most of the value we add upstream of the cure cycle is in telling the customer where the design will give them trouble in production before tools are cut.

Quote turn-around runs five to seven business days for new programs. First-article cycle two to three weeks for composite programs (includes layup verification, cure trace, and dimensional inspection). Production schedules typically held to ±2 days.

Annual quantity drives autoclave vs compression vs hand-layup choice. Honest forecasting helps us recommend the right process — autoclave is unnecessary at 50k/year racing-frame volumes.
Documentation requirements
Material certs, dimensional inspection, FAI on request, salt-spray witness coupons, RoHS / REACH declaration. Flag at quote so documentation is built into the production flow rather than added later.
